Privacy policy
Last updated: 25 August 2026
This policy explains how uComputing, operated by uComputing Clouds ("uComputing", "we", "our" or "us"), handles personal information when you visit ucomputing.net, contact our team, or follow links to our services.
1. Who is responsible for your information
uComputing is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. We are based at 17 Adzepa Avenue, Tarkwa, Western Region, Ghana. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@ucomputing.net or made by telephone on +233 240 905 969.
2. Information we handle
The information we receive depends on how you interact with us:
- Information you provide: your name, organisation, email address, telephone number, messages, project requirements, support details and any other information you choose to share when you contact us by email, phone, WhatsApp, social media or another channel.
- Website and device information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location derived from an IP address, date and time, and basic diagnostic or security logs.
- Business relationship information: enquiries, proposals, service preferences and correspondence created while discussing or delivering services. A separate agreement or product notice may apply when you become a customer or use a hosted product.
- Public review information: Google Maps may provide a place rating, review count, public reviewer name and photo, review text, rating, relative publication time and links to the reviewer or original review.
Please do not send passwords, payment card details, health records or other sensitive information through a general website, email or chat enquiry unless we specifically request it through an appropriate secure channel.
3. How and why we use information
We use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries, prepare proposals and provide requested support or services;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve our website and digital services;
- understand which pages and services are useful to visitors;
- communicate relevant service information where you have requested it or where permitted by law;
- prevent fraud, misuse, abuse and security incidents; and
- meet contractual, accounting and legal obligations.
Depending on the interaction and applicable law, we rely on your consent, steps taken at your request before entering a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interests in running and protecting our business. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.
4. Analytics, cookies and external services
Matomo analytics
We use a self-hosted Matomo analytics service at /analytics/ to measure visits and improve the website. Matomo may process technical and usage data such as your IP address, browser, device, referring page, pages viewed and visit time. Depending on our analytics configuration, a first-party cookie may be used to recognise repeat visits. We do not use this analytics information to make automated decisions about you.
Freeware download counter
When a visitor selects a PC Booster Pro download button, our website increases one aggregate “downloads started” total. The counter itself stores only the total number and does not create a visitor profile or retain an IP address. As with other website requests, the hosting provider may keep ordinary security and access logs for a limited period.
Google Maps, Places and reviews
Our website uses Google Maps content to show our location and may request current public place and review information through the Google Places service. Review content is supplied by Google Maps, is displayed with Google attribution and links to its source, and may be ordered by relevance rather than date. Review content is not verified by uComputing or Google. Our website does not keep a content cache of Google ratings or reviews; it may retain the Google Place ID used to identify our business.
Loading an embedded map, a reviewer photo or other Google-hosted content, or following a Google link, may allow Google to receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details. Google processes information under the Google Privacy Policy.
External links and communication services
Links to WhatsApp, Facebook, LinkedIn, email, Google Maps and other websites take you to services we do not control. Those providers may receive information when you visit or use their services and apply their own privacy notices and terms. Review their policies before sharing personal information.
Cookies and similar storage
Our website may use essential storage needed for security or site operation and analytics cookies as described above. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on this website. You can remove or block cookies using your browser controls, although blocking essential storage may affect parts of the site. Third-party content may use its own cookies or storage under the provider's policy.
6. Retention and security
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, to maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, secure our services and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type and relationship. Public Google Maps review content is requested when the page is opened rather than stored in our website cache.
We use reasonable organisational and technical safeguards appropriate to the information and risk. No website, email or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure, so please use care when deciding what to send online.
7. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to confirm whether we hold personal information about you and request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection. You may also withdraw consent, ask us to stop direct marketing, or raise a concern about our handling of your information. We may need to verify your identity and may keep information where the law requires or permits it.
Send a request to support@ucomputing.net. If we cannot resolve a concern, you may contact the relevant data protection authority in Ghana.
8. Children
This business website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through it. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent us information may contact us to request appropriate action.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to our website, services or legal obligations. We will publish the revised version here and update the date at the top. Material changes may also be highlighted through an appropriate notice.
